Patrick Mahomes paid tribute to the BOK after falling short in the 2021 Super Bowl.
“You’re a legend, man,” Mahomes told Tom Brady after the Chiefs fell 31-9 to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Brady replies, “You’re a stud, brother.”
The Super Bowl is considered a match between Brady, the 43-year-old ageless wonder, and Mahomes, the 25-year-old who is already one of the best backs of all time.
But while Brady did his part, throwing for 201 yards and three touchdowns to win his seventh Super Bowl record – more than any NFL franchise – and fifth MVP award, Mahomes threw two interceptions as the Chiefs did not could not achieve an attack.
The Big Game was the second playoff meeting between the two quarterbacks, with Brady winning first in the 2019 AFC Championship.
After that match, Brady Mahomes famously pulled aside for a pep talk.
Mahomes won the Super Bowl and MVP award next season.
