Patrick Mahomes avoids COVID-19 hairdressing scare

Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes was among 20 people who allegedly received a haircut from the barber who tested positive for COVID on Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday.

The barber was removed as soon as his quick positive test result returned, but he had already started shaving off Daniel Kilgore, the Kansas City center, and cut the hair of wide receiver Demarcus Robinson and both players on the reserve / COVID-19 list forced because they were considered close contacts with high risks. The barber was in the middle of Kilgore’s haircut, but Schefter clarified that Kilgore had to have the barber complete the task because he was already in close contact.

Kilgore posted a photo of himself with his head half-shaved on Twitter, with the caption on the photo: #Newprofilepic.

Neither player has tested positive for COVID since then, and if they remain negative, both players will be active Sunday for Super Bowl 2021, when the Chiefs face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa, Fla.

The barber allegedly tested negative five days in a row before entering the facility on Sunday.

Robinson got 45 passes for 466 yards and three touchdowns during the regular season, but he only got two passes for 14 yards during two playoffs. Kilgore started four games during the regular season and was a linebacker in the Chiefs’ victory over the Bills in the AFC Championship.
