Packers sign CB Tramon Williams in training group

The Green Bay Packers signed CB Tramon Williams to the training group and released P Ryan Winslow of the exercise group. General manager Brian Gutekunst announced the deal on Thursday.

(truh-MON) Williams (5-11, 191) has played in 155 games with 153 games and 728 tackles (565 solo), 34 interceptions (number 2 among active NFL players), 4.5 bags registered, 185 passes defended, six forced whispers, 11 obstacles and 28 special teams tackles. He also appeared in 16 national season games with 11 starts, and he registered four interceptions, including one he returned for an attack, and defended 18 passes. The former Pro Bowler (2010) returns to the Packers (2007-14, 2018-19) after spending this season with the Baltimore Ravens, where he appeared in six games during the regular season and one post-season game has. Williams was originally signed by the Houston Texans in 2006 as a free agent from Louisiana Tech, but was released before the regular season. He joined Green Bay’s practice squad later that season and also played in his career for the Cleveland Browns (2015-’16) and Arizona Cardinals (2017). Williams will carry number 38 for the Packers.

RB Mike Weber will now no. 40 for Green Bay wear.
