As we mentioned earlier, MGM was moving the 007 movie No time to die after the fall and away from the Easter weekend, April 2-4. Currently, the Cary Joji Fukunaga is directing Daniel Craig’s swan song as Mr. Bond repeated, running on October 8th. MGM has just made the news official.
No time to die explodes on a new weekend against … Sony / Marvel’s Morbius. Indeed, a game of chicken.
Universal has overseas on 007, but they refuse to starve over the Easter weekend. Remember, they released Trolls World Tour last year on PVOD and in whatever entries were open. Universal will now open their Bob Odenkirk film Nobody on April 2 instead of February 26 Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway which is scheduled for Easter weekend, but it can not stay there.
MGMs animated Addams Family Successor will now release the weekend in advance on October 1st, instead of October 8th. Currently, Warner Bros. has Had Legendaries Dune On October 1, however, the studio is struggling and funding the terms of the film, and the latter does not want a pure theater release instead of an HBO Max day and theater play. Must Dune move, it would not be out of the question for No time to die to move up and Addams Family part 2 elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Focus features Edgar Wright’s feature Last night in Soho will move from April 23 to October 22. Last night in Soho leave behind A Quiet Place, Part II and 20th Ron’s Gone Wrong on April 23 and will now deal with Paramount’s Snake eyes on October 22nd.
Uni also set a date to release Endeavor Content’s Michael Bay action thriller Ambulance over President’s Weekend, February 18, 2022.
