Editor’s Comment: Tune in to NBC 5 on TV to watch New Year’s Eve in Chicago, which begins at 11:30 p.m.
NBC 5 will be ringing the new year in Chicago with some big names and special surprises.
The station will present its program ‘New Year’s Eve Chicago’, hosted by Matthew Rodrigues and Cortney Hall of ‘Chicago Today’, which starts at 31:30 on 31 December.
The celebration takes place with the city as the backdrop, recorded from the LondonHouse Chicago rooftop.
To help kick off 2021, several celebrities are making guest appearances, including Carson Kressley and ‘This Is Us’ star Chrissy Metz, who will be delivering a special music performance.
The program also looks at how Chicagoans have acted for each other and their communities over the past year.
On top of that, it wouldn’t be a new year without some fun games, including one that puts local trivial workers ’trivia knowledge of Chicago to the test.
The countdown to the new year also includes a constructive performance recorded by the Chicago Children’s Choir.
