EXCLUSIVE: NCIS: New Orleans, the latest series in CBS’s formidable NCIS franchise, comes to an end. The current seventh season is the last of the drama, with the final finale series on May 16th. This is the 155th episode of the show.
The NCIS offshoot starring and executive producer by Scott Bakula joins another long CBS series taking place this season; news got the comedy this afternoon Ma ends with his current eighth season.
Created by the late Gary Glasberg, NCIS: New Orleans revolves around the local field office investigating criminal cases involving military personnel in the Big Easy, a city known for its music, entertainment and decadence.
“Sad to end our love affair with this phenomenal city, but so grateful for all the friends we made along the way,” Bakula said. ‘I’ll miss the music. Many thanks to CBS for seven years. ”

As NCIS: New Orleans nearing the end, Silber and Nash work on a new spin-off, NCIS: Hawaii. The two are co-writing / executing the project, which looks good for a pickup truck, with SEAL team author-producer Matt Bosack.
NCIS: New Orleans was a trusted utility for CBS. In a competitive period against Sunday night Soccer, NOLA currently a top 20 broadcast drama among viewers, averaging 7.06 million viewers (in most current ratings). Season to date, NCIS: New Orleans reached nearly 23 million unique viewers.

The NCIS franchise launched with the 2003 motherhood series starring Harmon. In eighteen seasons, it is still the most watched drama series on network television. Spinoff NCIS: Los Angeles, headline by LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell, premiered in 2009 and is currently in its 12th season. NCIS: New Orleans could not match the judgment strength and lucrative transactions outside the network of the other two NCIS series, mainly due to the fundamental changes in the TV business over the past decade. However, NCIS: New Orleans was a respected artist for CBS Studios seen in more than 200 countries.
