Migrants smuggled across the Texas River while crossing border crossings, the video shows

A video posted on social media shows hundreds of migrants waiting to cross the Rio Grande to Texas, even as the Biden government insists there is no ‘crisis’ at the border.

The video appears on the TikTok account of ‘Tripwires & Triggers’, a service started by Jaeson Jones to keep the public informed of the situation on the southern border.

BORDER DRAWS TOP 100,000 IN FEBRUARY AS MIGRANTS CRISIS SPIRES

Jones, who previously served as captain in the Texas Department of Public Safety’s intelligence and counterterrorism division, tells the video.

THE WORD THE COMMANDED ADMINISTRATION WILL NOT USE WHEN IT COMES TO THE BORDER? ‘CRISIS’

“What you are going to see are migrants who have just paid the Peso or the tax to the Cartels, and an independent smuggling group that works directly for a cartel,” Jones said as the video shows a raft crossing the river with almost a dozen migrants.

“You literally see a handover from a criminal organization, which is responsible for thousands of murders in Mexico, handing these people over to a U.S. law enforcement officer,” Jones said.

A version of the video without comment later appeared on Twitter.

Jones discussed the situation across the border in detail, and he claimed in the video that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers had been moved from border security to the care of migrants.

The video comes on the internet because the White House denies any kind of ‘open border’ with Mexico.

Press secretary Jen Psaki said on Thursday that there is a large stream of children crossing the border, but she maintains that a majority of migrants are being rejected by Title 42 health protection.

‘We certainly also acknowledge because the president and our government have taken a decision that the way to approach immigration humanely is that unaccompanied children can come and treat humanity and be in a safe place while we … try to get them in houses and sponsor houses so that some can come to our border more, ‘Psaki said.

The Biden government has refused to call the dramatic increase in migrants – especially child migrants, who cannot be excluded under Title 42 – a crisis.

Coronavirus testing the border also posed a problem, and Border Patrol did not test any migrants.

The city of Brownsville has been testing individuals since Jan. 25, with 204 of the 1,700 migrants testing positive for the coronavirus – about 9.25% positive, Fox News has learned.

The number of migrant children detained along the border has tripled in the past two weeks to more than 3,250. CBP recently reported that it encountered 100,441 individuals in February, an increase of 28% over January. Of these, 9,457 were unaccompanied children (UACs).
