When the donation page was launched, the biggest obstacle in his recovery was the search for adequate dental care, which fortunately came through.

“Any dentist willing to help Weiss is our greatest need,” Drew wrote in June, describing his serious condition. “He has no teeth and it’s an extra inconvenience I’m trying to alleviate.”

Although the remedy is acidic and can wear tooth enamel, meth can also cause dry mouth, which increases the likelihood of tooth decay, and the psychological effects of meth can lead users without brushing regularly or getting proper dental care.
