Michael B. Jordan embodies Alexa in Amazon’s latest bonus length Amazon Super Bowl ad – deadline

Michael B. Jordan makes his Super Bowl ad debut in a plug for Amazon’s voice recognition system Alexa.

The venue, titled ‘Alexa’s Body,’ will be online for 90 seconds and will be offered as a 60-second ad on Sunday during the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LV. (See the version above.)

Jordan has his well-developed physique and leading appearance in films such as Confession of Faith, Black panther and the upcoming Tom Clancy thriller Without remorse (which will hit soon, yes, Amazon Prime Video). This aesthetic is the key to the ad, which begins with a group of executives in a general office marveling at the design of a new, spherical Alexa device.

“I literally could not imagine that a nicer vessel for Alexa would be inside,” says one woman. At that moment, she looks out the window and spies an ad with Jordan in a matinee idol post, starting her daydreams about another “vessel” for the voice recognition system: Jordan himself.

In her reverence, Jordan teaches the married woman French phrases, helps her cook and even joins her in a Christmas bubble bath, where he reads to her a steamy passage from her audiobook. The overwhelming intimacy of the interactions is so disturbing to the woman’s husband that he soon begins to contradict her voice commands, such as ‘adding bath oil to my shopping list’.

The ad was created by Amazon and the agency Lucky Generals. It expands a series of recent Super Bowl appearances for Alexa, the ads of which feature a number of A-list stars such as Harrison Ford, Rebel Wilson, Cardi B and Anthony Hopkins.
