The city of Dallas and Dallas County will open a mega-vaccination site at Fair Park on Monday, where the county Department of Health hopes to vaccinate up to 2,000 people each day.
“We will vaccinate thousands of our most vulnerable residents at Fair Park next week with more than 100,000 people on the list, and the list will grow daily, and the state will give us enough vaccinations to vaccinate six to seven thousand people this week. “Dallas County Clay Jenkins, District Judge, said in a statement. “Obviously we will not reach everyone, so I appreciate your patience and grace as we work through the task of mass vaccination for North Texas.”
Vaccinations are by appointment only from Monday to Saturday, 08:00 to 17:00, depending on the availability of vaccine.
Dallas County and non-Dallas County residents eligible for the Phase 1A or Phase 1B vaccine may register for an appointment on the Dallas County Web site. Registrants will receive an email confirming that they are pre-registered and more about the next steps.
“With more than 100,000 residents registered and many more in need of vaccination, this partnership with the province is essential to return to a degree of normality,” said the office of the director of emergency management, Rocky Vaz. a written statement said.
