BERLIN – A 54-year-old man has been admitted to hospital in northern Germany after being bitten in the face by a camel, police said on Monday.
Police said the employee of the Perleberg Zoo, between Berlin and Hamburg, was cleaning the camel cage and feeding the animals when one suddenly turned around.
Police described the injuries as “serious” and said the man, whose name was not released, was being treated at a local hospital.
