Listen to Taylor Swift’s new recording of ‘Love Story’

Taylor Swift shared her new recording of ‘Love Story’, the first of her attempts to re-record her first six albums following the controversial sale of her early master recordings in 2019. Listen to the song that debuted on Swift’s 2008 album appeared Fearless, below.

Swift announced full update Fearless Thursday, though she had a preview of the re-recorded “Love Story” in early December. Fearless (Taylor’s version), which appears on April 9 and can be pre-ordered in various editions, contains new recordings of six tracks that Swift wrote for the album as a teenager and which were never released. In a statement, Swift called Fearless (Taylor’s version) “The whole story, the whole vivid picture … the whole dream landscape that is my fearless album.”

After Scooter Braun bought the master recordings of Swift’s first six albums and later resold them, Swift said she would re-record them as a way to regain control of her work. Swift has released her latest album always on a day notice in December, less than six months after release folk tradition in the same way.
