Kellan Lutz and his wife Brittany announced the birth of their first child a year after they tragically lost a stillborn baby.
The couple welcomed a daughter – Ashtyn Lilly – and shared the news on Instagram on Friday, four days after Brittany gave birth.
Kellan, 35, and Brittany, 32, both posted the same image of three Polaroids holding their newborn daughter in the hospital.

Except for the sweet snap, Brittany writes: ‘She’s here !!!! Ashtyn Lilly Lutz. 2 • 22 • 21. The day she came into the world it was snowing, raining and freezing, but at night she was born and woke us up from sun, clear sky and the winter melting away. ‘
Referring to her stillbirth last year, Brittany continued: ‘It was so symbolic, as this time last year was literally winter for our soul, but only one year later would be met with the brightest sunshine. She has set a new season for us and we keep her above all mind. ‘
She continues: ‘God saves. He recovers. He never leaves us broken of heart, we just have to give the broken pieces to Him and in what He changes them? Wow.
Brittany also posted the image on her Stories, along with the caption ‘It’s a girl!’, After revealing earlier that they were expecting a daughter.

The birth comes one year after the couple began suffering baby loss when they were six months pregnant.

They announced in September that they are pregnant with Ashtyn by sharing a lovely video on Instagram.
Lutz said, ‘We’re pregnant again! This is real life … For those who do not know, we are pregnant. Thank you so much for joining us, praying and supporting us. We are so excited. ‘
Brittany added: ‘It was a surprise. You know, it was obviously a surprise to lose our daughter at the beginning of the year. It was difficult, and still is. There are still difficult moments. ‘
