Keaten and Destin Wade, Tennessee’s four-star twins, commit to Kentucky

Kentucky is going to the Volunteer State to take on commitments from talented twin brothers.

Destin Wade and Keaten Wade are surrounded by friends and family at Summit High School just outside Nashville and have revealed that they will be attending the University of Kentucky and choosing the Cats over Tennessee, Louisville and Virginia.

The brothers are each considered four-star top prospects. Keaten Wade is the 18th ranking of the lineout ball in the country and overall no. 156. Destin Wade, a quarterback who has built 1,509 running yards, 1,390 passing yards and 37 combined touchdowns as a junior, is ranked by Rivals as the no. 23 ATH considered in the country.

Over the past few years, the Wildcats have had some very many battles with the Vols on the recruiting track, and this is the biggest win yet for the UK. Steve Clinkscale was the primary recruiter for the Wades. By giving the brothers their first scholarship offer, Coach Clink prevented Josh Heupel’s staff from moving to the yard early.

It is important to land just one of these talented players. Receiving commitments from the two talented brothers, Kentucky’s seven-man class moved up eight places to No. 18 on Rivals’ team rankings.

Keaten Wade is an explosive defender who will thrive under Brad White’s supervision. At 6 feet-5, 225 pounds, Keaten could make a difference in the SEC in Kentucky. His brother is not that big, but he does have a big arm. Whether it’s in the bag or on the run, Destin Wade has the tools to tear it up in Liam Coen’s attack, and his skill is versatile enough to play a wide receiver or defensive back for Mark Stoops.

It’s a great day for the Kentucky Football program that could turn into a great weekend when Kiyaunta Goodwin joins the Wade Twins in the Wildcats’ 2022 yard class on Saturday afternoon.
