Kathryn Limbaugh, widow of conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh, talks about the funeral held in honor of her husband and her future plans.
Rush Limbaugh is due out Feb. 24 in St. Louis. Louis laid to rest, where a small private ceremony was held. The 70-year-old Limbuagh died on February 17 due to complications due to lung cancer.
Kathryn Limbaugh appeared on his namesake radio program on Tuesday and briefed listeners on how she was dealing with the death of her husband.
“It’s a tough time, but I’m OK, and we’ll get it right together,” Limbaugh told host Todd Herman.

“We referred to the day of his passing as ‘the event’ to lighten it up a bit. We planned the memorial service for a year. Rush laughed at the upcoming event. The sun was shining brightly at the funeral home in Missouri. , not like the icy snow a week before. ‘
“I think Rush was just ashamed of a president,” Kathryn added. “There will be pictures of the horse-drawn carriage following us. We held a short ceremony in their chapel with his favorite song. After that we went down to the cemetery. We prayed around Rush and played some of his favorite music. It was absolutely stunning with a beautiful oak tree over Rush with the sun shining on it. ‘

Kathryn then sheds light on what her plans are going forward.

“I will continue the Rush Revere books and audio,” Limbaugh said. “To keep the movement alive, just think of what Rush would say and do. I have his wedding ring and a cross on a chain around my neck, and keep him with me every day, every moment. Rush did not know what to do. “EIB does not show that he will follow God’s plan to return to heaven. He went quietly. Yes, he was greeted by many when he returned home.”
Limbaugh told Herman: “I will return to the EIB as often as you want me to be.”
Rush Limbaugh learned he had stage IV lung cancer in January 2020 and was crowned Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Donald Trump days later. First Lady Melania Trump presented America’s highest civilian honor to Limbaugh in the House Gallery.
“Rush Limbaugh: Thank you for your decades of tireless dedication to our country,” President Trump said during the speech.

Limbaugh is considered one of the most influential media figures in American history and has played a consequent role in conservative politics since “The Rush Limbaugh Show” began in 1988. He sits behind his Golden EIB (Excellence in Broadcasting) microphone and has spent Limbaugh more than three decades probably the most beloved and polarizing person in the American media.
