Kate Hudson attributed her stepfather Kurt Russell to having raised her in a new interview.
The 41-year-old actress appeared on Sunday Today with Willie Geist as she thanked her mother, Goldie Hawn’s longtime partner, 69, for ‘sharing what it is like to have a trusted father figure in our lives’.
Screen star Kate also touched on her estrangement from her biological father, Bill (71), with whom Cactus Flower’s Goldie (75) was married from 1976 to 1982.

The media personality described her strong bond with the award-winning actor and said: ‘I have a wonderful family.
“I have a beautiful mother. I have a stepfather who stepped in and played a big role in sharing what it is like to have a trusted father figure in our lives. But that does not take away from the fact that we did not know our father. ‘
The media personality also sheds light on her strained relationship with Bill, who also shares Oliver (44) with his first husband, Emily (38), and Zachary (34) with his second wife, Cindy Williams, and Lalania (14) with ex-girlfriend. Caroline Graham.

The star of the almost-famous person has confessed that she still loves her father and is willing to discuss their issues in an effort to help others who may be having a similar experience.
Kate added: ‘I think like I went through the process … I look at my dad and I’m like,’ You know, love has never been anywhere. It has always been there, no matter what those complications were.
“And healing is … personal, and I think sometimes people just need to hear that they are not alone in it.”

The fashion entrepreneur recently admitted that she was thinking of making contact with Bill and his other children again.
The Mother’s Day star spoke to her brother Oliver in their Sibling Revelry podcast: ‘Do you know what I’ve been thinking lately? Dad.
‘I thought of our sisters to whom we spend no time, and our brother – brothers. We have four brothers and sisters with whom we do not spend time.
‘I was thinking about how everyone gets older. It would be nice to get in touch a bit, especially with my sisters. ‘
