Judge’s son from Brooklyn arrested for participating in Capitol Riot – NBC New York

The son of a Brooklyn judge was arrested by the FBI on Tuesday morning for his involvement in the Capitol Hill riots.

Aaron Mostofsky has been arrested in the New York area and is expected to appear in federal court in Brooklyn later Tuesday. He faces four charges, including theft of government property and unlawful entry.

NBC News had earlier identified him as one of the rioters, seen on several photos with furs and a police uniform and a riot shield from Capitol police.

His father, Shlomo Mostofsky, is a judge of the Kings County Supreme Court, and his brother Nachman is a senior Republican figure in the city.

While the riots were still going on, Aaron Mostofsky interviewed the NY Post in which he said he believed the election was stolen and that he was exercising his rights.

The FBI said in a criminal complaint that Mostofsky had already posted on social media accounts in 2018 about protests or riots due to Republican election losses.
