Joe Buck is going to make a comeback as “Jeopardy!” host

Joe Buck is hosting ‘Jeopardy!’ told him the fight for the coveted permanent job, The Post has learned.

According to sources, Buck’s episodes are expected to air sometime in the middle of the summer. Hosts took steps one or two weeks. No word yet on how long Buck will be.

The test will have no effect on Buck’s schedule as the voice of MLB and the NFL on Fox.

Buck will join a group of hosts who have decided to replace the late Alex Trebek. He will be the second from the sports world.

Over the past two weeks, Packers full-back Aaron Rodgers has hosted the show. For Rodgers, Katie Couric, dr. Mehmet Oz, Ken Jennings and longtime executive producer of the program, Mike Richards, on the host list.

Anderson Cooper, Bill Whitaker, Mayim Bialik, Savannah Guthrie and dr. Sanjay Gupta is also on the program.

Buck, 51, has been the voice of the World Series for Fox since the Yankees won the 1996 World Series. He names Fox’s leading NFL game since 2002.
