Jeffree Star has ‘painful pain’ after his car accident: ‘Time to heal’

Beauty guru Jeffree Star has revealed that he sustained serious injuries due to the car accident he was in.

Fox News reported earlier that Star and his friend Daniel Lucas were involved in a ‘serious car accident’ on Friday morning while the couple was traveling through Wyoming. The car they were in apparently hit a piece of black ice and turned it around three times, according to Star.

The pair were taken to Casper Hospital after their accident, sergeants said. Jeremy Beck, Wyoming Highway Patrol, told Fox News.

“This morning was one of the most terrifying moments of our entire lives. I’m so thankful I’m still here,” Star told his 6.9 million followers. tweet he shared Friday. “I have excruciating pain because part of my back is broken and I have vertebrae in my spine. My doctor said it would take a few months, but I need to recover completely.”

Star’s health update came nearly six hours after a photo of the beauty lying YouTuber in a hospital bed was shared on Twitter.

Star also took time to thank his followers and close the circle because they visited him and Lucas. He added that his friend is being closely monitored by doctors.

“My best friend Daniel has internal injuries and because he survives colon cancer three times, he gets complications with his organs,” Star, 35, wrote. “They watch him 24/7.”

Star was reportedly discharged on Saturday afternoon while Lucas remained in hospital for further tests.

Star in particular released the YouTube video on which he and Lucas worked together before their accident, outlining Lucas’ battle with colon cancer. According to a, the video would go up on Friday teaser Star shared on Thursday.

“Yesterday we were supposed to upload a new video about @daniellucasox’s cancer journey,” Star explained. “We decided to post it today while he waits for more answers in the hospital.”

According to the Wyoming authorities, Star has been identified as the driver, and the YouTuber apparently confirmed these details by posting photos of his damaged Rolls-Royce.

“It was difficult, but I had to go see my car today,” Star tweeted on Saturday. “Thank God, a #RollsRoyce was built with strong reinforced steel because it saved our lives. Time to heal and have my body repaired.”

Police confirmed that snow fell in parts of Wyoming on Friday, contributing to mild and icy conditions. However, roads are not closed.

Star’s YouTube series contains more than 16.5 million subscribers, which he has amassed in the twelve years he has been on the platform. In 2014, he founded Jeffree Star Cosmetics, a brand that has built a cult following.
