Jeep is lifting Bruce Springsteen again after DUI charge dropped

Jeep puts The Boss in the corner again.

According to the carmaker, the streaming versions of his Super Bowl LV ad starring Bruce Springsteen will “unveil” after DUI and reckless driving charges against the singer were dropped on Wednesday.

Only a few days after the two-minute advertisement was presented during the game, it came to light that Springsteen was arrested in a national park in New Jersey in November when he was spotted getting on his motorcycle after drinking tequila .

Jeep pulls the spot out of social media, saying it ‘will interrupt our Big Game ad until the actual facts can be determined’.

During the online trial, Springsteen pleaded guilty to one charge of drinking in a closed area, but prosecutors suggested dismissing the DUI and reckless driving charges based on the fact that Springsteen’s blood alcohol level was only 0.02, well below the local limit. of .08, and the judge agreed.

“As we said earlier, we interrupted the ad until the facts were established. Now that the case is resolved, we are silencing the film,” a Jeep spokesman told Fox News after the verdict.

The judge ordered Springsteen to pay a $ 500 fine and $ 40 court fees.

“I think I can pay it right away, Your Honor,” Springsteen replied.

Springsteen has never removed the ad from his own Twitter account.
