Indiana Pacers’ TJ Warren will be operated on to miss an important part of the regular season, sources say

Indiana Pacers forward TJ Warren is expected to miss a significant portion of the regular season, sources told ESPN after undergoing surgery to correct a stress fracture on his left foot.

The Pacers on Thursday night described the operation as repairing a “small navicular” fracture.

This is a significant blow to the Pacers, as Warren led the team to score 19.8 points per game last season. He was explosive during the restart in Orlando, and had a performance of 53 points on the point to score nearly 27 points in the bubble.

The 27-year-old Warren is scoring 15.5 points this season. He was undergoing season-ending surgery for a stress fracture in 2016 while he was with the Phoenix Suns, and he returned in strongest form for the start of next season.

Warren has emerged as one of the best small forwards of the East since coming to Phoenix in 2019 on a draft day trade.
