Hochul, 62, is a Buffalo resident and a graduate of Syracuse University. She earned her rights at the Catholic University of Washington. She works as a legal adviser and legislative assistant to the then Rep. John LaFalce and late Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan.
Hochul served 14 years in Hamburg City Council and later for four years as a clerk of Erie County. In 2011, she became upset and won a special congressional election in a challenging district. But she lost re-election a year later after the district reformed the district.
Cuomo chose Hochul as his running mate when he offered a second term in 2014. Hochul is chairman of the ten regional councils for economic development in New York and is co-chair of the Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Abuse.

“This is not a responsibility we take lightly, as allegations of sexual harassment should always be taken seriously,” James said.
