Hyundai reports huge demand for Ioniq 5 in Europe

Not only has Hyundai noticed a huge interest in its brand new all-electric Ioniq 5 model (23,760 pre-orders within 24 hours) in South Korea, which will hit the market within a few months.

In Europe, the Ioniq 5 launch is also a huge success, far greater than the launch of the popular brand new Tucson SUV in 2020.

Hyundai reports that the number of customer inquiries in Europe reached between 23 23 000 and 26 February. There are probably a lot of people looking for their new electric car, and Ioniq 5 is on their shortlist to consider.

“The world premiere of the Hyundai IONIQ 5 was followed by most European inquiries about the customers of new brands.”

Launched via a virtual world premiere, the IONIQ 5 has quickly generated a very high level of website traffic and social media engagement among consumers in Europe – more than ever before by Hyundai recording for such an event, including the launch of the hugely popular all-new Tucson SUV in 2020. “

As for the pre-orders, the limited edition IONIQ 5 Project 45 (only 3,000 units available) was rewritten almost three times within 24 hours of opening the booking, which to us sounds like almost 9,000 pre-orders just for the launch edition.
