Broward Health has announced that it will give the COVID-19 vaccine to certain members of the public from Wednesday – before it is later said that they will be filled with appointments in February.

Patients must meet the following criteria:

  • People 65 and older
  • Office staff of Broward Health recognized doctors
  • Emergency medical staff
  • Unauthorized community health care providers who do not have access to the vaccine, as well as their office staff

Vaccines are also available to all Broward Health employees and recognized medical staff at Broward Health’s hospitals.

Eligible members of the community should contact Broward Health’s Nurse Connect link at 954-759-7500 to schedule an appointment.

“We are doing everything possible to increase capacity and fully restore the service,” officials said in a statement. “We apologize for the inconvenience as we try to meet the needs of our community.”

Broward Health has announced that the COVID-19 vaccine will be launched to certain members of the public from Wednesday, December 30th.

Once you have made an appointment, you will be told where to go to get the vaccine.

Certified medical staff members should call their local medical staff office to make an appointment.

The Broward County Department of Health announced Wednesday that it will begin providing vaccinations to residents 65 and older from Sunday. Residents can register for an appointment by clicking on this link, but they are reminded that the appointment is currently limited.

“We are excited about the opportunity to have our senior population, who are excessively affected by COVID-19, vaccinated as we work every day to protect our community during this pandemic.” says Dr. Paula Thaqi, director of the Florida Department of Health in Broward County.

Broward Health aims to vaccinate 15-20 people per hour, which will amount to about 150 people per day.

“It is monumental and reaches a milestone in this pandemic that we can offer the vaccine to our citizens who meet criteria,” said Dr. Aldo Calvo, medical director of outpatient services, said.

Cleveland Clinic and Jackson Health System have announced that they will begin administering vaccines to certain members of the public.

Cleveland Clinic has announced that it will also provide vaccinations to members of the public who meet certain criteria, including those 65 years of age or older, as well as first responders and those at high risk medical conditions.
