Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale extends vaccines to under 65 with certain conditions – NBC 6 South Florida

Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale is expanding the COVID-19 vaccine to include people under 65 with certain conditions.

According to the hospital, patients from Holy Cross Medical Group will be given preference.

To receive the vaccine, you must meet the following criteria:

• Asthma
• Cancer (currently / undergoing treatment)
• Cardiomyopathy
• Chronic kidney disease
• COPD
• Down syndrome
• Heart failure
• Hypertension
• Obesity greater than 30 kg / m2
• Organ transplantation
• Pregnant
• Sekelsel
• Type 2 diabetes with concomitant co-morbidity (listed above)

To request an appointment for someone who meets the above criteria, you must download the registration form / consent (with accompanying MD note / prescription indicating the patient’s condition) at the COVID Vaccination Center, 4701 N. Federal Highway, Bldg. C.

“We encourage you to use all alternatives to receive the vaccine if you have the chance to be vaccinated,” Holy Cross said in a statement. “Keep being patient. It will take time to vaccinate everyone who qualifies.”
