Here’s where provinces fall into California’s four-tier, color-coded Coronavirus reopening system – NBC Los Angeles

Last year, California unveiled a four-level, color-coded system based on coronavirus conditions in each of the state’s 58 provinces.

When it was first released, about 94 percent of California’s population was below the most restrictive press level. As of March 2, 40 provinces were in the press level; 16 provinces were in the red level; and two were in the orange level.

As conditions improve and vaccinations continue, more provinces are preparing to move out of the purple level and move to less restricted red, orange and yellow levels.

The map below shows that each province falls within the reduced system from 2 March. Updates are usually issued on Tuesdays.
