The Unity of Sexual and Reproductive Health of Save the Children Colombia and Maicao, La Guajira, received the award for ‘Excellence in Medical Services’ from the 2020 Medical Awards.
The team was chosen between more than 60 units and medical services of Save the Children worldwide, which during all the 2020 jobs to reach those who need it more, in the middle of the pandemic by covid-19.

La Unidad de Salud, located in the ancient city of Maicao Hospital, brinda desde 2019 services in general medicine, gynecology, family planning, in addition to prenatal, post-natal and social work, with special emphasis on paying attention to migrant, Colombian returnees and insured persons.
