LONDON (AP) – Severe weather in Europe, ranging from floods in France to heavy snow in Germany, has caused disruption and damage – but also wonderful backgrounds to watch or play.

Floodwaters devastated many vineyards and orchards in southwestern France, while the Seine River flooded its banks for a fifth consecutive day in Paris.

In Britain, heavy snow is forecast for the coming days and will interrupt southern England as bitterly cold winds hit much of the country. Some areas in the UK picked up the accumulation on Sunday.

A snowstorm and strong winds beat in northern and western Germany, which forces trains to cancel journeys and leads to hundreds of vehicle accidents. According to police, more than two dozen people were injured on icy roads.

But the storms also brought scenic scenes, and people enjoyed the day as the Sahara sand colored the snow near Altenberg, Germany. And a pony was walking in the show near Millhouse Green in the north-east of England while a horse-drawn carriage was riding through the German city during a wave.

The weather will remain icy across the continent in the coming days. Temperatures dropped to -21 C (-5.8 F) on Sunday in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius.
