Brown identified the gunman as Jason Nightengale, 32, and said they had no information about the possible motive for the murder.

The murder began when Nightengale shot dead a 30-year-old man as he was sitting in a car in a parking garage in Chicago in the Hyde Park neighborhood at about 1:50 p.m., Brown told the news conference.
