Google Meet has evolved rapidly over the past year to accommodate millions of people who have moved to (and in many cases still work) from home. The service has recently implemented many new features, and now Google is making it easier than ever to make a call.

Before you could create a Google Meet event, you had to create a nickname (or allow Google to generate one for you), then you would provide a link that you can share with others. Google is now speeding up this process with a custom interface at meet.google.com. Clicking the ‘New Meeting’ button now offers you three options: create a meeting for later, start a call now, or schedule a meeting in Google Calendar.

Depending on how often you use Google Measure, the updated interface may save you at least a few clicks. The changes are now starting in both G Suite / Google Workspace accounts and personal Gmail accounts.
