Gonzalo asegura PLD saldrá fortalecido tras election de Comité Central

The Minister of Public Works and Communications, Gonzalo Castillo, stated that he believes that the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) will be “fortaled” by the Central Committee members.

In addition, the incumbent presidential candidate will ensure that he is satisfied with his internal, qualifying, ordained, pacifist and democratic comics.

“I am very satisfied with how the process is going, it is very orderly, it is very democratic, the party is going to be very fortunate to be part of the results of the month”, said the official, adding that this form is what the PLD celebrates event.

The elections

Today, the PLD holds internal votes to elect 300 new members of the Central Committee, with 973 candidates participating in 110 national and 190 local elections.

With this end, 164,249 chairmen of basic committees were convened, including the members of the Central Committee, provincial, municipal presidents, districts and the intermediate committees throughout the country.

In these elections, the electronic vote is again imposed, as in the first comics of 2019.

For this occasion, 374 electoral records were delivered, with 381 months in public school centers, clubs, community centers and other places, including six thousand members and acting directors in the operational part.

The results will be transmitted from the same number of voting months, while 100 per cent of the results will be announced on the 15th of February, according to the secretariat of the PLD’s electoral assistants and member of the organizing committee of the IX Congress, Danilo Díaz.
