In an interview with The Salt Lake Tribune, Burgess Owens of Utah, an elected member of the GOP Congress, said Thursday that he would support the challenge of protesting the election of President Joe Biden on the House floor, claiming that no doubt exists that President Donald does not. Trump was re-elected to a second term.
Owens, a strong supporter of Trump and a speaker at the Republican National Convention in 2020, said he believes Trump will win the election, despite Biden securing 306 votes from the Electoral College to Trump’s 232 election votes and won more than 7 million more votes than the president. .
“I have no doubt I think he won,” Owens said.

His comments come as Congress has to confirm the results of the January 6 election college, with many GOP lawmakers, including Senator Josh Hawley, choosing to challenge the election results.
Owens, a former NFL player, compares the Republican effort to his days of playing football.
“In ten years in the NFL, I played a lot of losing games,” he said. “If you leave everything on the field and do everything you can and there is nothing left, then it’s a winning game regardless of the score.”

The elected congressman claims that 42,000 votes were incorrectly added to the final vote total in Nevada, a claim that state officials vehemently denied.

“My goal is basically just to make sure I do everything in my power to take it to every legitimate goal,” he added. “And once the official count is complete, we respect whoever the president is.”
Since November, the Trump legal team has been contesting the election across the country, unleashing a series of high but overwhelmingly unsuccessful lawsuits to thwart the election results.
