Closer to 2020, this week was a long week of PSLS awards for the year-end, and we honored very good spending. Even if games did not win, only the nomination pays attention to games that deserve the spotlight, and there were many other honorable mentions that did not even make the nomination list. 2020 has been a great year for games around the world, and it’s building everything up to this moment. Before we announce which game we won first place, here are the PlayStation LifeStyle nominations for Game of the Year in 2020.
Winner of the competition of the year 2020
The Last of Us Part II
Read our review.
Games of the Year, reflecting the nominations and votes of our Best PlayStation Exclusive Award, also go to Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II. We have said a lot about The Last of Us Part II during this awards week, so let this quote from our review tell you why it’s worth taking the best place this year:
‘It’s an empathic emotional journey that recontextualises the hero’s idea in the middle of the story through new perspectives and unique methods of storytelling that only video games are capable of. It’s a versatile experience with symmetry, details and layers that players will discuss for years to come. Polish and production value not only meet but exceed the level of Naughty Dog quality that players expected. The Last of Us Part II is an era-defining game, a perfect companion for the first to match, rather than ending the original core point, creating an unforgettable and emotionally challenging story with these beloved characters. ”
