Hayne is accused of sexually abusing a woman in 2018 and causing physical harm. According to the TMZ report, he denied any wrongdoing and promised to appeal against the verdict. He is now facing 14 years in prison after being convicted on multiple sex charges.

Hayne played for the 49ers in 2015 and has been a rugby star for a long time.

I honestly have never thought of this guy since the 2015 season was over. He was supposed to be this splashy man who could make the transition from rugby to the NFL.

Although he was not terrible for the 49ers, he was far from great. Therefore, he only hung around for a season.

Now he has been sitting behind bars for almost a decade and a half after being convicted of two counts of sexual intercourse without consent.

It’s an incredible downfall and a blunt reminder that life can change quickly.

Hayne will now await his sentencing on May 6.
