FKA Branches Discuss Shia LeBeouf’s Alleged Abuse in CBS Interview with Gayle King

Note: This article contains descriptions of alleged assault.

FKA Branches Join Gayle King CBS this morning to discuss the alleged abuse she experienced during her relationship with Shia LeBeouf. In December, Branches filed a lawsuit against LeBeouf alleging abuse and assault. In conversation with King, Twigs discussed the beginning of her relationship with LeBeouf and claimed that he would jump the fence to her home to leave for her small gifts. She said she found the gestures ‘very romantic’ at the time, but saw the actor test [her] borders, ‘and calls his actions’ inappropriate’.

FKA branches later told King that LeBeouf had become “physical” with her. She said he would ‘press [her], and then he would say, “You fell.” According to twigs, he “accelerated the highway and said that if [she] left him – or, if [she] said that [she] did not love him and if [she] would leave him – that he would bump the car against the wall. “She thought, ‘I thought, wow, he needed so much control over me that he’d rather kill us both.’

Later that evening, LeBeouf choked on twigs in public, the singer told Gayle King; twigs had the night before with The New York Times and ELLE. FKA branches also repeated the allegation that LeBeouf made her kiss or touch her a certain number of times a day.

Shia LeBeouf, in email to The New York Times, wrote that “many of these allegations are not true”, but did not comment on specific allegations. “I am ashamed of history and I feel sorry for those I have hurt,” he wrote. More recently, LeBeouf formally denied the allegations of FKA twigs in a court case.
