Five Oklahoma City officials were charged with manslaughter on Wednesday after they shot dead a suspect in a robbery against men last year.
Stavian Rodriguez, 15, died last November after being shot 13 times, according to The Oklahoman. Police said he did not follow the orders of the officers to get on the ground but stabbed in his back pocket.
On the camera footage released Wednesday, Rodriguez can be seen dropping his gun and an extended magazine. After dropping the gun, officers told him to climb to the ground, but Rodriguez remained standing and stabbed in his back pocket.
The investigating officer of the district attorney said in affidavits that police ao. Sarah Carli was the first to shoot, but did so with a ’40mm less lethal round’, according to The Oklahoman
The rest of the officers all shot deadly rounds at Stavian Rodriguez, who hit him several times and inflicted deadly wounds, ” the investigator said. “Stavian Rodriguez had no other weapon than the firearm he dropped before he was shot. A cellphone was recovered from the left back pocket in which he had his hand when he was shot.”
Carli was not charged, but officers Bethany Sears, Jared Barton, Corey Adams, Jonathan Skuta and Brad Pemberton.

More than a dozen shots were fired by the five officers at Rodriguez. He later died at the hospital.
“When an armed robbery suspect did not obey the police order, five officers saw the same threat and fired their weapons at the same time. A loss of life is always a tragedy and we know that these officers did not take their weapons lightly.
