Evan Rachel Wood claims fiancée Marilyn Manson ‘abused me horribly for years’

Actress Evan Rachel Wood has issued a statement claiming that fiancée Marilyn Manson has horribly ‘abused’ her for years and led four other women to make allegations about the shock-rocker.

Evan, 33, and singer Manson, real name Brian Warner, 52, became engaged in January 2010 after a three-year romance, but ended their engagement in August 2010.

They met when she was 18 and he was 18 years older than her.

Evan claims in her statement released on Instagram on Monday: ‘The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known as Marilyn Manson.

“He started caring for me as a teenager and abused me horribly for years.

‘I’m here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him before he destroys more lives.

ASHLEY WALTERS

‘I still suffer from PTSD and struggle with depression. I kept in touch with quite a few people who went through his own traumas under his control. While we all, like survivors, have struggled to move on with our lives, I would continue to hear stories disturbingly like our own experiences. It became clear the abuse he was causing; he keeps on serving so many people and I can not stand by it and let it happen to others. Brian Warner must be held accountable. ‘

SARAH MCNEILLY

‘I was afraid to put a spotlight on myself so as not to end up in his cross again. Because of the way he treated me, I suffer from mental health issues and PTSD that have affected my personal and professional relationships, self-worth, and personal goals. I believe he is ruining people’s lives. I stand before all who have, and all will come forth. I want to see Brian held accountable for his evil ‘

ASHLEY LINDSAY MORGAN

I have night terrors, PTSD, anxiety and mostly paralyzing OCD. I was constantly trying to get him out of or out of me. … I’m coming forward so he’ll finally stop. ‘

GABRIELLA

It took me five years to express myself and say that I was in an abusive relationship. I have been diagnosed with PTSD and still suffer from nightmares. I have blocked many memories, but the feelings continue to manifest in different ways. The reason I finally share this traumatic experience is for my healing and because I am silent. I do not believe it is fair that someone should not be held accountable for their heinous actions. I’m not a victim. I’m a survivor. ‘

According to Vanity Fair, at least four other women have filed their own allegations against Manson.

They set out ‘disturbing experiences that they claim were sexual assault, psychological abuse and / or various forms of coercion, violence and intimidation’.

In 2009, Manson told Spin, “The song, I Want to Kill You Like They Do in The Movies, is about my fantasies.”

And when asked about his relationship with ex, Evan, Manson said, “I have fantasies every day about hitting her skull with a sledgehammer.”

He gave a shocking account of their relationship in Christmas 2008, saying: ‘Every time I called her that day – I called 158 times – I took a razor blade and put it on my face or on my hands cut.

“I wanted to show her the pain she was going through. It was like, “I want you to physically see what you did.” ‘

A Manson representative earlier released a statement to NME saying, “It’s my understanding that Evan Rachel Wood was dating several people around the time she dated Manson.

‘Basic internet research gives you a bunch of other names that have not appeared in any of our discussions.

‘Your next few points are about remarks Manson made in Spin magazine in 2009. Your confusion about the timeline of this is extremely worrying.

‘The comments in Spin where Manson had a fantasy of using a sledgehammer on Evan and he cut himself 158 times was, of course, a theatrical rock star interview promoting a new record and not a factual version .

“The fact that Evan and Manson got engaged six months after this interview suggests that no one took this story literally.”

They continued: ‘There are also numerous articles over several years in which Evan Rachel Wood speaks very positively about her relationship with Manson.

“In NetAPorters.com’s The Edit she said: ” I will not trade any of it [our relationship], Wood told the magister. “I appreciate everything he taught me. I just do not think we were ready for each other.”

Patricia Arquette tweeted earlier: ‘Marilyn Manson cut herself 158 x’s when he called Evan Rachel Wood after the breakup, it’s not [love], it’s abuse. ‘

In 2018, Evan testified before Congress and set out a disturbing version of sexual and physical abuse with a partner she did not name.

She testified to insist that all 50 states pass the Human Sexual Assault Act.

Evan said, “I’m not feeling well, and I’m not feeling well.

She set out sick rituals to bind me through my hands and feet to be mentally and physically tortured until my abuser felt I had shown my love for it.

“At that moment, while I was tied up and beaten and told unspeakable things, I really felt like I could die.

‘Not just because my abuser told me,’ I can kill you now, ‘but because at that moment I felt like I was leaving my body and that I was too scared to run. He will get me. ‘

She also said: ‘My experience with domestic violence was as follows: Toxic mental, physical and sexual abuse that started slowly but increased over time, including threats against my life, severe gas light and brainwashing, and waking up with the man claiming that he rapes me what he believes is my unconscious body. ‘

The Hollywood Reporter wrote that a police report against Manson was filed in May 2018, citing unspecified sex crimes that allegedly took place in 2011.

In August 2018, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office announced that it did not want to pursue the case due to a lack of corroborating evidence.

Manson’s attorney, Howard E. King, told The Hollywood Reporter that the allegations to police by Mr. Warner is categorically denied and that it is completely misleading or part of a calculated attempt to gain publicity. . … Any claim of sexual misconduct or imprisonment at that or any other time is false. ‘

MailOnline contacted representatives of both Evan Rachel Wood and Brian Warner for further comment.
