Evan Rachel Wood Accuses Fiancée Marilyn Manson of Care and Abuse – Deadline

Westworld actress Evan Rachel Wood has publicly accused Marilyn Manson of “horribly abusing” her for years.

The actress named Manson, real name Brian Warner, in an Instagram post outlining the allegations. She had previously talked about surviving domestic violence, but up to this point she had never called out her abuser. It is known that the couple had a relationship in 2007, when she was 19 and she was 38, and they were engaged shortly in 2010.

In response to Wood’s accusations, at least three other women posted their own allegations against Manson on Instagram, one of which has since removed her post. Deadline contacted Manson’s representatives for comment; his team has denied similar allegations in the past.

In the report, below, Wood says that Manson started caring for her as a teenager and that she was ‘brainwashed and manipulated’ by the singer. She says she wants to “expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him”.

In addition to his work as lead singer of the orchestra Marilyn Manson, he has also appeared in numerous films, including David Lynch’s Lost highway, and the TV series Sons of Anarchy, and Salem. He was apparently also the inspiration for Johnny Depp’s performance as Willy Wonka in Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and is the godfather of the actor’s daughter Lily-Rose Depp.

Wood was a prominent activist for survivors of domestic violence, including the Phoenix Domestic Violence Act, which was passed in California in 2019. She has said in the past that she was raped on two occasions and was in detail a survivor of domestic violence, but denied that Manson was her abuser.
