According to the EU Commissioner responsible for correcting the vaccination of the block, the dose of Covid-19 vaccine is “coming” and the European Union does not need the Russian Sputnik V shot.

EU Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton has promised that 100 million doses will be delivered in April and said that continental Europe could reach immunity by July 14, which is Bastille Day in France.

Meanwhile, Russians are struggling to get hold of the Sputnik vaccine, Breton said in a French television interview. In contrast, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said her country can use Sputnik.

Dear Commissioner Breton, stop being biased. Europeans want a choice of safe and effective vaccines that you have not been able to provide so far. Sputnik V has already been registered in 54 countries, ”responds the Russian vaccine developer a series of tweets. ‘His remarks pressure Sputnik V not to go through the EMA approval process @ThierryBreton believe all is well with EU vaccinations and Sputnik V is not necessary. Are Europeans happy with the vaccination of Bretons? ”

Most European countries resumed AstraZeneca Plc is firing on Friday after a suspension to assess possible side effects, a setback for the EU’s vaccination campaign.

When asked about the EU’s relatively slow explosion in the EU, Bretons maintains that the death rates associated with Covid are higher in the UK and in the US, which according to President Joe Biden has only reached a target of 100 to vaccinate millions of Americans.

Europe produces as many as 150 million doses a month, Breton said, adding that he calls the AstraZeneca CEO daily to look at production. European leaders blamed the company for delays in the vaccination campaign and for giving the UK priority over the EU in deliveries.
