UPDATE: The prolific music producer and giant of the music industry, dr. Dre, said he was doing well after being admitted to the hospital due to a brain aneurysm. Dre addressed his friends, family and fans with a message on social media shared Tuesday night.
‘Thank you to my family, friends and fans for their interest and wishes. My medical team is doing well. “I will be out of the hospital soon and back home,” he wrote. ‘Call out to all the great medical professionals of Cedars. A love !! “
PREVIOUS: Dr. Dre is being admitted to hospital with a suspected brain aneurysm, a well-positioned medical source told Deadline tonight. The hip hop legend and Straight Outta Compton producer is in the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, but his condition is unknown.
Born Andre Young, the NWA rapper and solo star and mega-producer, was also the co-founder of the Beats at Dre Empire with Jimmy Iovine and helped start and manage Death Row Records. Dr. Dre has many credits Eminem, Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg.
Further details were not immediately available, but we will update the story if we know more.
