Donald Glover ink overall deal with Amazon Studios – deadline

Donald Glover is doing business with Amazon Studios. Sources close to the situation indicate the deadline Atlanta creator Glover left his former home at the Disney-owned FX for an overall deal for many years, believed in the eight figures.

Sources also say that Malia Obama joined the studio in the writing room of one of Glover’s initial projects, a mini-room for a Janine Nabers project about a Beyonce-like figure.

His brother, Stephen Glover, who wrote and produced Atlanta, according to a person familiar with the agreement, he also colored a general agreement in the studio.

As part of the treaty, Glover’s work would also appear on a content portal on Amazon Prime Video.

Amazon declined to comment.

The news comes days after Glover announced that he and Phoebe Waller-Bridge were reloading a feature film Mr and Mrs Smith as a television series for Amazon.

The show, co-created by Atlanta author / producer Francesca Sloane, comes from New Regency and Amazon Studios.

Waller-Bridge has an overall resemblance to the streamer, as well as Sloane.

The Hollywood Reporter made the first report on the deal.
