Dita Von Teese spoke out about the sexual abuse of her ex-husband Marilyn Manson.
The musician is accused by actor Evan Rachel Wood and four other women of abuse, care and manipulation.
Manson denied the allegations made against him and wrote in a statement on his Instagram page: ‘My intimate relationships have always been completely one-sided with like-minded partners. No matter how – and why – others now choose to misrepresent the past, this is the truth. ”
Von Teese and Manson had a relationship for seven years, including one year of marriage from 2005 to 2006. According to Von Teese, they were divorced due to ‘irreconcilable differences’ related to the musician’s drug abuse and infidelity.
The burlesque dancer and model has now spoken to her about the allegations her ex-husband faces, saying it “does not match my personal experience”.
“I processed the news that became known about Marilyn Manson on Monday,” she wrote on Instagram. ‘To those who have expressed your concern about my well-being, I appreciate your kindness.
‘Please know that the details disclosed do not match my personal experience during our 7 years as a couple. If they did, I would not have married him in December 2005. I left 12 months later due to infidelity and drug abuse. ”
She continues: “Abuse of any kind has no place in any relationship. I appeal to those who have been abused, to take steps to heal, and the power to fully realize yourself. ‘
Von Teese’s statement follows that actor Rose McGowan came from another of Manson’s former partners. The Betower star shared a video on Instagram on Tuesday (February 2) with the caption: ‘I am deeply sorry for those who have suffered the abuse and mental torture of Marilyn Manson.
