“Digital medicine allows you to reach out to more people in exceptional cases”

The covid us marketed todos, not only as citizens, we also as society. But, without a doubt, the health care sector is the one that has been living with the most intensity and courage in the health care sector that has dealt with the pandemic: 2020 has been a unique challenge for health management women, and so it is alive Iñaki Peralta, CEO of Sanitas and Bupa Europe & Latin-America: “We have a completely unexpected scenario that obliges us to react to anything down. Through the brutal atrocities of the month of March, we must digest that we are embroiled in a serious situation and that we have enormous responsibility ”. We will analyze the lessons learned from this pandemic and the future of public-private collaboration.

PRIVILEGES. How did I personally see the first part of the pandemic?

RESPUESTA. Record the first days of March with intensity and timelessness. At the moment, we are discussing many of the things that we know about covid-19, and each one was different from the previous one, with very little ability to prevent it from happening and, for that matter, with little ability to anticipate. Scenarios like this complicate much of the management, which is based on the ability to anticipate situations. I also have an incredible record of compromise, compromise and teamwork. I would like to thank you, by supuesto, for the integration of the assistance teams, our hospitals, residences and dental clinics, which he has given and continues to do with the best of them.

P. Are you prepared for the Spanish sanitation system to prevent viruses?

R. No system has prepared the system, but evidence has shown that no system has it. All of them, in the first place, in the second or in the third, if we are found, are seen above the virulence of the covid. But the problem is not so much if the system is already prepared as it is now, in case there is another after the pandemic. Following are some of the shortcomings, however, there is a lot of time that the discussion should focus on the apprenticeship, the solutions and the push for prevention plans.

“We are talking about crime, but the discussion should focus on education, solutions and prevention plans”

Let us revise the idea that we have the best world health system. We are dealing with professional grandmothers who have enough resources and are willing to work together. For this, the investment in innovation and follow-up of digital medicine passes will allow us to take more care and, in exceptional cases such as the pandemic, can continue to take care of their health and exceed the limits of movement. For this, it is fundamental that the health care system work together to robust the health services that we offer to the citizens.

P. One of the first problems with the lack of materials, what is his side, in his opinion, the mayor replied that he had to move the sanitary sector?

R. The sanitary crisis has over time the need to reform public-private partnership in our country as a mechanism to make it easier for the people who are facing the pandemic. And in this sense, the digitization paper is key. It is fundamental that the evacuation process be the fastest and most effective way to avoid new virulent tanning viruses. And it is very necessary that the administrations launch the clear and unequivocal messages about the standards to follow. The responsibility of all is fundamental in the management of this pandemic. We can allow that, one more time, the bulk of the waste is collected in the sanitary professionals, that these altars are exhausted.

Q. What lessons have we learned from this pandemic, sanitary hablando?

R. To be optimistic, the first lesson is that if we work together, we are really strong. In less than a year, the scientific community has been able to market a vacancy that it is beginning to demonstrate its effectiveness. On the other hand, the collaboration of all the sanitary system, of the public and private actors, the health without appeals, has shown that coordinated work and effective form.

But it is important not to go into the complaint and extract lessons from that situation. In the middle of nowhere, it is fundamental to establish an alternative for the patients with pathologies not related to the covid que, one more time, in this third as in the first, there is a diagnostic or treatment made before or after treatment. Accelerate digital access mechanisms to medical attention on the part of healthcare providers much to resolve problematic issues. In this sense, it is important to extend home hospitalization. They are mediocre people who are related to digitalization, who tend to get up and running on a regular basis, but there are many people who do not need to be. And we do not deny the emotional consequences that a traumatic situation can bring to society. In Spain, we already have many things to do in this sense, but now, many have been mentally affected that they do not receive the attention they deserve.

Q. What is the difference between public and private health care during this pandemic?

R. The sanitary crisis has led to the need to reform public-private partnerships in order to make progress in the impending retaliation of the pandemic. It is important to note that this collaboration on the pandemic has saved lives from citizens. Private health care is part of the hospital system of the country and we need it to make progress in the situation we live in and the reforms we need. We are part of the collective effort that we make to ensure the health of our citizens, and we will continue to do so. Private health care, as well as the public, has saved many lives during the pandemic.

P. ¿How do we approach you as a private entity the first oil?

R. Estuvimos in the first line of the management of this emergence acting from many fronts. We would like to thank insurers and clients, explaining that Sanitas has co-ordinates and medical assistance providers. When it comes to provisioning issues, we duplicate UCI’s beds, we cover camp hospitals, we’ll all have our staff to generate more assistance capacity … All this, in total coordination with the sanitary authorities.

“The sanitary crisis has over the month the need to reform public-private partnerships in order to address the pandemic issues”

P. One of the first positive consequences of this sanitary crisis has been the acceleration of digitalisation. How is this Sanitas process going?

R: For a long time, it seems that medical assistance is reunited with the digital world, that medical-patient relationship should always be equal. Pero, aun asi, hace años, nosotros dimos un paso adelante para implement de videoconsultas. Technology makes it possible, but socially it is not totally accepted. This crisis has allowed the problem, the problem and the reset, the ahorras todo the problem of the medical center, the time that employs … We passed 350 consultations to reach more than 5,000. We are very sorry for what we have done.

P. ¿Is there anything that acabará when we come to covid or have you come to quedarse?

R. Ha llegado para quedarse. Certainly not at the same volume, but at the moment, one year later, one of three consultations is done on video. Once the initial confidence has been realized, and those who discover that you can move on to the medicine, it will be difficult to go backwards. Nosotros hemos lanzado bluaU dentro de esa misma line de busqueda de oportunidades. The clients and the podium will carry out their Blue Blues consultations, but we know that it has many more possibilities and quizzes than one more step. Geen is only a digital medical center in which to consult, without a digital hospital. To do this, let’s develop aspects of diagnostic tests compatible with digital medicine. There is a series of tests that have been done on the car. They can monitor variable distances, such as arterial pressure, and also have a facial recognition program that allows you to draw conclusions about your state of health. The opportunities that open up are impressive. When you see what comes, you think it is science fiction. Pero nee, is digital medicine.

P. Buena part of this futuro is supported by ‘big data’ herramentas. Do you understand the controversy surrounding the use of data for health research?

R. Date medicine has a huge impact on the future; it’s an evidence, and I understand that negarla is an attraction. Good proof of this is that, in the context of the pandemic, all market data and parameters that are obtained at the global, global level, are available to help you find more treatments for the distant patients. Geen olvidemos que detrás geen hooi nombres, direcciones, nada que ponga en riesgo la Privacy. The health care sector has been working with the Data Protection Act for some time now and we have been working on our DNA. For now, I do not understand the controversy. We only want to care and heal.

P. Can you go back to the digitalization of medicine with its humanization?

R. No lo creo. From the point of view of the medical-patient relationship, the digital connection can be as strong as the staff. Verte la cara, mirar a los ojos, te da mucha fuerza … y también mucha information. Digital medicine has an enormous humanitarian burden.

Peralta, CEO of Sanitas. (C. Castellón)

P. ¿And what do we do with the mayors and the digital breach?

R. You will be surprised by the response of the mayors before these new years. Many people are very good at technology, and others do it with the help of their families. But it is very clear: following the same options as before. Our idea is not to force the digital exchange into something it does not want. Mientras haya un pasiente que lo quiere, seguiremos ofreciendo lo same as always hemo dado.

P. Tras la llegada de las vacunas, la sociedad se encuentra ante un nuve desafío, la llamada fatiga pandemica. What can be done by the sector to help society and the doctors in this new need? What do you call the retos?

R. It is a clave theme. The ones who preoccupy me the most are the professionals of health, this is a permanent state of emotional stress. We are working to give the mayor the institution of responsibility and support of this charge. I despise, in society, it is true that there is much haste, so much so, that we do not fully appreciate the great hope of the vacancies. Our service Mente Sana is an example of the efforts we make in this sense. Our hemosphere is due to the fact that we need to reform the psychological part in order to overcome the times as difficult as veneer, and we are very happy with it. If so, you can contact ‘coaches’, psychologists …
