British Instagram model Demi Rose Mawby continues to ignite social media with her jawbone from Ibiza. Although Mawby was born in Birmingham, England, her most recent Instagram posts are filled with the sunny surroundings of the Balearic Islands. She moved to the island in 2020 amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and has since documented her life there, with her most recent post showing some of the most beautiful views of Ibiza while paying homage to a goddess.
In the post, tucked away on Es Vedra, a small rocky island near Ibiza, the 25-year-old wore a top on top while posing amidst a beautiful backlight illuminated by the setting sun. The tranquil ocean and rocky cliffs also emphasized the image. Mawby combined her top with a tie-dye from PrettyLittleThing, the fashion brand for which she recently became an ambassador. The bold dress boasts orange tie paint materials as vivid as the colors that paint the sky behind Mawby. Mawby dedicated the post to Tanit, a goddess of war.
“Behind me is the third most magnetic field on earth, after the North Pole and the Bermuda Triangle,” Mawby wrote. ‘Some say that there is a goddess named Tanit [a] protector of women and still guards Ibiza. Tanit is a war goddess of dance, fertility, creation and destruction and that her abode is the west coast, home to the sunset, in particular the area around Atlantis and the mystical Es Vedra. ‘
The report heated up the comment section, with one fan writing that Mawby ‘could be the contemporary goddess of Ibiza’. While many Mawby continued to call ‘beautiful’ and ‘beautiful’, many others took their breath away by the background she was posing against. One fan wrote ‘beautiful scenery’, another one with ‘2 beautiful views’.
The great response to her post was surprising because of her occasion. Mawby currently boasts 15.8 million Instagram followers, a number she has amassed since she was inspired to create her account after a fake account using her image drew an influx of followers a few years ago . Since setting up her account, Mawby has signed with a modeling agency, seen her career begin and quickly became a more influential on social media, though she has even more aspirations she hopes to add to her resume. Talk to the Daily mail in December 2020, the 25-year-old revealed that she “would like to talk more on Instagram or make a documentary in the future.” She also teased that she “would like to start skin care and acting and video work.”
