Demi Lovato reveals why she did not think she was going to drink too much after trying Meth, Crack Cocaine

The first half of Demi Lovato’s new docu-series, “Dancing With the Devil”, dropped on YouTube, with the singer speaking candidly about why she did not think she had an overdose in 2018, despite the mixing of different types of drugs.

The four-part series, which outlines Lovato’s journey to and from her almost fatal overdose 2018, has long been anticipated and comes before the singer’s first album since 2017, “Dancing With the Devil … The Art of Starting Over , “which will be released on April 2nd.

Over the course of the two 20-minute episodes, Lovato explained how she ‘crossed a line I had never crossed in the world of addiction’ and that she ‘just went to the city’, after years of was sober for a long time.

‘I’ve done drugs I’ve never done before. I have never done meth, I have tried meth. I mixed it with molly, with coke, weed, alcohol, OxyContin. That alone should have killed me, “she said in the first episode.

The 28-year-old said she started using heroin and cracked cocaine after trying it when a dealer did not have her usual combination of cocaine and Xanax. Her addiction to both drugs became so severe, according to her, that she was a big user of both after her Tell Me You Love Me tour and that she even once interrupted a game night to calm down the drugs in the bathroom of a girlfriend.

On the night of her overdose in July 2018, Lovato hung out with friends and told them she would go to bed when they left. In fact, she called her dealer and said that she has now given what she assumes ‘to be fentanyl’ and calls them ‘pills to the market’.

After the overdose, Lovato said, she woke up “shocked” in the hospital because she thought you could only take an overdose if you inject the drugs.

‘I’m not saying I did not use needles, but that evening I did not inject it, but also smoked. This is another reason why I was so shocked when I woke up in the hospital because I was like, ‘No, I do not inject it. I can not overdo it, ” she said on camera at one point, adding later that she had learned: ‘If you do too much at the end of the day, it will kill you.’

Lovato said she knew at that point that she needed help.

In the second episode, the singer “Anybody” starts a bit to ‘take advantage’ of the dealer who gave her the drugs on which she eventually dosed too much just before she had an overdose.

“I did not just overdose. I was also exploited …. When they found me, I was naked, I was blue. I was literally left for dead after he exploited me. And when I woke up in the hospital, they asked if I had permission for sex. There was one flash I had on top of me. I saw the flash and said, “Yes.” It wasn’t until a month after the overdose that I realized, “Hey, you weren’t in a mood to make a decision.” That kind of trauma does not go away overnight, ‘she shared, saying:’ Many of my previous traumas came to an end that evening. ‘

The next two installments of the docu-series will be released in the next two weeks.
