Demi Lovato reveals that she feels freer and more authentic after cutting her long hair while beating pink dye and a checkered suit in Instagram snaps
She says her new short hair makes her feel ‘free’.
And on Monday, Demi Lovato shared some behind-the-scenes positions in which she wears a pink colorwork and a designer pink plaid pantsuit she wore for an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Lovato, who tagged pro photographer Angelo Kritikos, shared several photos on her Instagram.
The 28-year-old is back in the spotlight with her documentary, Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil.
In it, she reports her 2018 overdose almost fatally and the ensuing journey to sobriety.
When she sat down with DeGeneres on Monday, she explained how she has felt more free and authentic since cutting her hair.
“I feel like I’ve been hiding behind my hair,” says Lovato, who admits that she covered her body with her long locks when she struggled with eating disorders.
When I started doing all this work to myself, I thought, ‘What have I been holding on to all my life that I have to leave? “She explained about her decision to have her head shaved.

Lovato also told DeGeneres that she hopes her documentation will help people realize that they can overcome their ‘deepest, darkest struggle’.
She also said that another reason to tell her story is to ‘set the record’.
“I just wanted to say to the world, ‘Hey, this is what happened, this is how I went through it, and hopefully it can help you too,'” she explained.
“Because this trip was such a wild ride, but I learned so much and I can’t wait to share it with the world.”
The lure that fell last week shocked Lovato fans with his open confession that she had ‘three strokes’ as a result of her overdose, as well as a heart attack that left her with ‘brain damage’.
As she continued to reflect on the life-changing incident and the effect it had on herself, her friends and family, Demi compared her resilience to that of a cat with nine lives.
‘I’ve had many lives, like my cat. You know, I’m in my ninth life, ‘she emphasizes. “I’m ready to do again what I love, what makes music.”
