The possessions of former NFL star and current Jackson State football coach Deion Sanders were found after he told reporters that they were stolen from the locker room on Sunday 53-0 victory about Edward Waters.
A school official tells Nick Niehaus of WAPT that the items were found after Sanders’ press conference. Noah Newman of WJTV said the belongings were “found in his locker / office” and that nothing was stolen.

“We’re going to find out who did it,” Sanders said at the time, noting that he had his wallet and cellphone taken.
He added that he was ‘angry’ about the situation.
Sanders said this is the second time he has stolen his possessions since becoming head coach:

Since moving to Jackson in December, this is the second time Deion Sanders’ property has been stolen. Someone stole a tree box from his car. When he found out it was Deion’s tree box, the person returned the property to him. “What happened today was malicious, a personal attack.”
Sunday was Sanders’ debut as head coach. He was appointed in September, but the school postponed the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jackson State will play a total of eight games this season.
He also got a surprise before the game when his former teammate Troy Aikman greeted him on the field:
“How do you think it feels when you come back in tears – the guys offered me the game ball, one of the best moments I’ve ever had in my career – and you see that you do not have a phone to call your mom, you girl, your children, because it was stolen, ‘he said told reporters before the restoration of his possessions.
The state of Jackson will face Mississippi Valley State next weekend.
