Covid-19 vaccinations are expanding at Meijer pharmacies, which start vaccination clinics this week and plan to give up to 25,000 doses by the end of the week for those who are at least 65.
Advance registrations and appointments are required here, or send an SMS to ‘COVID’ to 75049. Another way is to register in person at stores.
People who registered earlier today received text message invitations to make an appointment at the Detroit store on Woodward at 8 Mile Road and other branches.

This week’s aggressive vaccination schedule is made possible by partnerships with several provinces and cities in Michigan, along with doses received from the State of Michigan and the Centers for Disease Control. …
The vaccine clinics run by Meijer are not open for start-up. … Meijer encourages anyone interested in receiving the vaccine to register, as the retailer intends to eventually offer the vaccine to all eligible Michiganders … in the coming weeks and months.
After the first shot, recipients for three doses are booked within three weeks.
