Lindsey Boylan, the first woman to accuse the New York government, Andrew Cuomo, of sexual harassment in a major scandal, complained to President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in a now-removed tweet because they remain silent about the allegations.
The most prominent New York Democrats, including Senator Chuck Schumer, Senator Kristen Gillibrand and New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, have asked Cuomo to resign from office over the allegations. But neither Harris nor Biden, who once described Cuomo as the ‘gold standard’ of leadership during the coronavirus pandemic, commented on the situation.
Boylan spoke out shortly after a provocative Cuomo denied wrongdoing after allegations of seven women, including Boylan, accusing the governor of sexual harassment and misconduct. Cuomo said at a news conference that he would not respond to calls to resign, saying there were often many motives for making an allegation, in an apparent suggestion that his defendants had ulterior motives.

“The governor has denied any wrongdoing,” Boylan wrote on Twitter. “He climbed on his platform today and said, ‘there are a lot of motivations why people do things. “He calls for hatred and speculation to be directed at his accused. All harm and hatred directed at the women sits squarely on @NYGovCuomo.”
“It also questions the judgment and courage of both @POTUS and @KamalaHarris,” Boylan added. She later deleted the second tweet.

Boylan also criticized the White House last Sunday, tweeting that the public ‘sees blue trolleys plaguing me and other survivors’ because Biden, Harris and other New York Democrats ‘support it with their silence’. Several Democrats referred in the tweet, later asking Cuomo to resign.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki commented on the situation during a press conference earlier Friday.
“The president believes that every woman who came forward – there were now six, I believe, who came forward – deserves to have her voice heard, should be treated with respect and she could tell her story,” he said. Psaki said. .

Boylan, a former employee of the Cuomo administration, wrote a blog post on February 24 in which he outlined some cases in which the governor claimed he was inappropriate.
In the report, Boylan alleges that Cuomo asked her to play ‘strip poker’ on a flight and kissed her on the lips during a meeting in his office, among other alleged offenses. Cuomo denied Boylan’s allegations.
New York Attorney General Letitia James has launched an investigation into the claims against Cuomo.
