The largest COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Connecticut opens Monday morning.
Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford is being transformed into a 10-lane mass vaccination clinic.
The Pfizer vaccine will be administered by the Community Health Center.
Vaccinations are available by appointment only for those who fall under phase 1a and 1b. From Monday, people aged 75 and older can be vaccinated.
People who are 75 years and older, who have an email address and the ability to schedule an appointment online, can sign up through the online VAMS (Vaccines Administration Management System).
They can also call 877-918-2224 to make an appointment. Government officials are asking that only people aged 75 and older should dial the number as they expect a high call volume.
The transit clinic is open from 18 to 22 January for the first week of surgery. From next week, the clinic will only be open by appointment seven days a week by appointment.
